# What is an answer-driven website?

An answer-driven website is built around the real questions your buyers ask, with each page giving a clear, sourced answer near the top. It helps people who research before they buy, and gives search engines and AI tools plain text they can read and quote.

Most business websites work like brochures. They say who you are and what you sell. An answer-driven site starts from the other side: the questions buyers type before they call anyone.

Each page takes one question. It answers it in the first sentence or two, then adds detail, examples, and sources. Google says its systems aim to reward content made to help people, with clear authorship and first-hand knowledge.

The format also matters for machines. Vercel found that the major AI crawlers it measured, including OpenAI's and Anthropic's, do not run JavaScript. Key text should sit in the page's HTML, not load later through scripts.

Example: a relocation consultant adds pages such as "What does a residency visa cost?" and "How long does it take?" Each has a direct answer, the date it was checked, and links to official sources. A prospect can read it, trust it, and book a call.

No format guarantees that an AI tool will quote a page. Sovereo Web Works builds sites in this format and reports monthly on search results and AI citations.
