These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Sovereo website at sovereo.com and all related content, tools, and products, including the Sovereo Index, the Sovereo Relocation Diagnostic, the daily SITREP, the Brief, and Sovereo Country Reports (together, the "Services"), operated by Sovereo Intelligence Research ("Sovereo," "we," "us"). By using the Services or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
2. Educational purpose, not professional advice
The Services are educational research instruments built from public data and established academic frameworks. They are provided for general information only. They are not legal, tax, immigration, financial, investment, or relocation advice, and must not be relied on as such. Country programs, tax rules, visa thresholds, currencies, and security conditions change frequently and without notice; all figures are point in time and dated where shown. You are solely responsible for your decisions. Before acting on anything you read, consult a qualified, licensed professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. No guarantee of outcomes
We do not guarantee any particular result, eligibility, approval, return, or outcome. The Sovereo Index, Diagnostic scores, and report contents reflect a transparent methodology applied to public data; they are judgments and estimates, not assurances. We make reasonable efforts toward accuracy but do not warrant that any information is complete, current, or error free.
4. Purchases, delivery, and refunds
Sovereo Country Reports and other paid products are digital goods delivered electronically. Payments and downloads are processed by Payhip, which acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable VAT or sales tax. Your purchase is also subject to Payhip's own terms. Reports are delivered immediately on payment, so all sales are final and non-refundable once the file has been made available, except where a refund is required by law. If a file is defective or you did not receive your download, contact us and we will make it right.
5. License and acceptable use
When you purchase a report, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own private, non-commercial purposes. You may not resell, redistribute, republish, sublicense, post publicly, or share the file or its contents, in whole or in part, without our written permission. All content, data compilations, scoring, text, and design across the Services are owned by Sovereo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Source datasets remain the property of their respective owners and are credited where used.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sovereo and its founder will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, opportunity, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or reliance on the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a paid product will not exceed the amount you paid for that product.
8. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to or rely on third parties, including Payhip (payments), our email provider (newsletter delivery), Substack (the Brief), and our hosting and analytics providers. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their terms.
9. Changes
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time. Material changes take effect when posted, with a revised "last updated" date. Your continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
